The first Hackathon in Cuba has ended, but the adventure continues.
Havana Cuba has got a vibe like no other place I have been. The people are positive, upbeat & want to learn and improve. The 48 hr. Hackathon in Havana exposed me to some of the coolest & smartest people I have ever met.
The only thing holding Cuba back from a real force in the global economy is the poor WIFI (or as the Cubans call it WEE-FEE) connections. I could write an entire book on the dramatics I’ve had in just 3 days of trying to get a decent connection. I have shot thousands of photos and short video clips and it has been a real challenge trying to find a connection and stay online.
